The Winter Olympics gold medal standings changed dramatically overnight! The host nation rose to second place, South Korea claimed its first gold, and China dropped further.
As of February 13 Beijing time, the sixth day of the Milan Winter Olympics concluded, with nine newly awarded gold medals distributed among Italy (2), the Netherlands (2), South Korea (1), Australia (1), Austria (1), Sweden (1), and Germany (1). Medals were widely spread, causing another major shake-up in the gold medal rankings. Although Norway did not win any golds that day, it still holds first place but with only a one-gold lead. Italy overtook the United States to move up.
