On Tuesday morning, Manchester United conducted an open training session at Carrington in preparation for Saturday's trip to Hull City. With little time left before the new season kicks off, the team has increased its training intensity. United officially confirmed that €85 million center-forward Benjamin Sesko participated in the session, which is a welcome sight. De Ligt was also in the squad, striving to recover from a back problem. However, Mason Mount remains sidelined.

Sesko has not played any match since the 2-0 home victory over Liverpool in the "Double Red" clash on May 3. De Ligt has been away from the pitch since last November, making his participation in the first game even less probable.

Sesko is expected to be Manchester United's primary number 9 this season, provided he is fit. De Ligt has joined the full team training, but he has not yet been able to complete all the exercises. He is working hard to regain his fitness in order to rejoin the squad.

The Dutch center-back last played for Manchester United in a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on November 30 last year. At the time, then-manager Ruben Amorim said De Ligt only needed to rest for one match, but he has been out ever since and even underwent back surgery.

Manchester United will wear the off-white third away kit in the Premier League opener, the same as against AC Milan. Notably, the jersey features only the Qualcomm Snapdragon fireball logo on the chest, without the name. Adidas design director Inigo Turner explained that the color inspiration comes from the ivory white and red brick exteriors of Manchester's urban architecture, and the rose pattern is a symbol of Lancashire and Manchester.
