Real Madrid: "Charging Up" with Bernardo Silva

Jose Mourinho will have no reason to complain about Real Madrid failing to secure Rodri's signature this summer, as he already has one of the most versatile midfielders at the Bernabeu in Bernardo Silva.

The 32-year-old midfielder is the kind of player the Galacticos craved after the departure of Modric. He is adept at directing play, possesses outstanding situational judgment, and has a better grasp of match rhythm than most of his teammates.

Though he might not be the traditional playmaker Madrid fans hope for, he will have to assume that role if the club fails to sign anyone else during the rest of the transfer window.

But upon noticing the Portuguese midfielder's fitness waning in the latter stages of the second half, the manager quickly moved him higher up to the No.10 position to ease his defensive workload. Silva must also attain top physical condition rapidly if he wishes to earn a starting berth in midfield. That department is expected to be highly congested, with numerous contenders competing for a role, including Camavinga, Tchouameni, Valverde, and Pitarch.
