Coach Kim Sang Sik watches the final match of the Malaysian team

Coach Kim Sang Sik attended Nha Trang Stadium to observe the final match of the 2026 International Youth Student Football Tournament.

On the afternoon of April 5th, the final of the 2026 International Youth Student Football Tournament took place at Nha Trang Stadium, where Thuy Loi University faced National University of Malaysia in the championship race.

Not only was there lively support from a large audience in the stands, the match also welcomed a special guest: Coach Kim Sang Sik, who is leading the various levels of the Vietnamese national team.

The Korean coach drew attention when appearing in Nha Trang and moving to the field alongside Thuy Loi University's coaching staff. His presence indicates his significant interest in Vietnamese football at multiple levels, not only in professional competitions but also in student tournaments, which are considered an important foundation for discovering and nurturing future talents.

It is noteworthy that just earlier this week, Coach Kim Sang Sik competed with the Vietnamese national team in the final match of Group F in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers. There, the entire team demonstrated superior strength against Malaysia with a final victory of 3-1, thereby maintaining a perfect winning record in this important campaign to secure a ticket to the finals early next year.

The aforementioned victory also helped Coach Kim Sang Sik continue extending his unbeaten streak with the Vietnamese national team to 17 matches, simultaneously approaching the previous record set by his predecessor Park Hang Seo, the coach who achieved 18 consecutive unbeaten matches with the "Golden Dragons".

After achieving the goal of participating in the 2027 Asian Cup finals, Coach Kim Sang Sik and his players will aim to defend their title at the AFF Cup 2026, a tournament taking place this summer.

With an enthusiastic spirit and possessing top stars in the squad, the coach born in 1976 promises to continue delivering explosive performances, thereby bringing joy to Vietnamese fans, similar to what his compatriot Park Hang Seo accomplished in the past.
