0On April 1 afternoon, the AFC/VFF "B" Certificate Coaching Course Phase 1 commenced at the Hall of Defense Sports Center 3 (Da Nang City), running from April 1–12, 2026.
On April 1 afternoon in Da Nang, the coaching course for the AFC/VFF "B" Certificate Phase 1 officially opened, attracting attention with the participation of many familiar figures from Vietnamese football. Notably, Trong Hoang and Nguyen Thi Tuyet Dung both attended, marking their transition toward a coaching career.
The course runs from April 1 to 12, 2026 at Defense Sports Center 3 with 24 participants. This is the fourth time the Vietnam Football Federation has organized a training program following AFC standards, aiming to further enhance the quality of domestic coaching staff.
The presence of Trong Hoang and Tuyet Dung drew significant attention as both are seasoned players with extensive competitive experience. While Trong Hoang is still playing professionally for Ha Tinh Club, Tuyet Dung has dedicated many years to Vietnamese women's football and is gradually shifting her focus toward training and development work.
This course is directly taught by instructors Koshida Takeshi and Tran Duc Toan. Both have completed advanced training programs and are recognized by FIFA for their teaching capabilities, ensuring professional quality for the class.
The list of attendees primarily consists of current or former players who have competed in domestic and international tournaments. This indicates a clear trend of transitioning from playing to coaching, reflecting the need to elevate professional expertise in modern football.
The "B" Certificate course is considered a crucial stepping stone in the professional coaching training pathway following the C – B – A system. Through this program, Vietnamese football aims to build a high-quality coaching workforce, contributing to sustainable future development.
